Wasting seed

Rabbi, I'm very distressed. I've completely stopped with this sin now. But when I was around 12/13 we had a class in school about this issue. I foolishly as a young child blurted out '' Well, everybody does it'' and around 50 boys in the class all started laughing, even the teacher. Would I be then accountable for encouraging others to take on this despicable sin?
