Personal
Shalom,
For starters, it'd be good to try having a few hours every morning or even 30 minutes of quiet walking/meditating to begin the day.
From the Torah's perspective a person absorbs a certain type of energy from every type of food and so they must have a way to get better nutrition from the food they eat by minimizing the foods such as sugar/ and processed spices/oils in their foods for starters.
Certainly a lifelong difficulty with concentrating could be the signs of a difficulty learning or some other issue.
Try to set aside time first thing every morning so that you could do a better job of properly maximizing your energy for meditation.
Best Wishes
