Shalom, Modesty is not only how we dress, but also how we talk, how we walk, sit, eat and also what and how we think and talk. It says in the Torah, in the book of Michah 6/8:   "הִגִּיד לְךָ אָדָם מַה טּוֹב וּמָה ה' דּוֹרֵשׁ מִמְּךָ, כִּי אִם: עֲשׂוֹת מִשְׁפָּט,וְאַהֲבַת חֶסֶד,וְהַצְנֵעַ לֶכֶת עִם אֱלֹהֶיךָ"   "He has told you, O man, what is good, and what the Lord demands of you; but to do justice, to love loving-kindness, and to walk discreetly with your God"   When it says 'walk discreetly' it is referring to modesty by not showing off, being modest in your thoughts and speech and also when we do Mitzvot, we should do them in a modest way, meaning, not to do them to show off to others that I do them, rather to do it 100% for the sake of heaven Dressing modest for men is also showing respect to G-d. The same way you would not show up in court with short pants and flip flops as you would want to impress the judge, we dress modest to show respect to our master. We learn that from Adam and Chava, that when they were naked, they did not feel right to 'expose' themselves before G-d Wish you all the best, Rabbi Alon Anava
