Leaving Holy Zohar without good knowledge of Torah
Hello Rabbi Anava,
I wanted to thank you for all your great teachings..I was told i shouldn't get into Zohar without proper Torah education and that a person who jumps levels will get punished at these higher levels...is this true?
Thank you!

Shalom,
Learning the hok l’yisrael book which includes humash/bible, ketuvim,writings,mishna/Gemara, zohar, and Halacha is a good foundational starting point for anyone and is equally important for beginners and experts alike.
Also Rabbi Yehuda lev Ashlag taught that a person should learn the inner dimension of Torah in order to unleash the true power of Torah learning which is to become a truly altruistic sharing person capable of living the precepts of the Torah with joy.
IF someone says a certain book is not for you without you truly striving in your learning of this work you lose out.
Best Wishes——-
