I need to know how to do teshuva when I hit someone and don't know who he is and he doesn't. Know me. He was keeping a parking space for someone and I parked there. He closed the back door of my car on me. He was so angry he started to let down my car tires. He refused to stop when I asked him so I hit him. This has bothered me for the last 16yrs and I don't know how to fix it. I need to know how to fix it

Shalom, The way to do Teshuvah for such an act, is: 1) Do not ever do such a thing again 2) Have regret (which it seems you already do) 3) Go out of your way to educate others of how important it is to control your anger and not to use violence 4) Make sure you treat others, especially strangers with a lot of love and respect and increase acts of charity and kindness The main part of the Teshuvah is when Hashem will place you in a similar situation in the future and if you control yourself and refrain from hitting back, that is how you finalize your Teshuvah. So be ready for that test... Wishing you great success and may Hashem help you reach your Teshuvah Alon Anava
