Honoring step parents

What are the laws concerning step parents when it comes to kibud av v'aim (honoring ones parents)? Is it required to honor a step parent just as we do our birth parents?

shalom,   Every parent is accorded honor in the mitzva of kibud av v"em   As for who is honored most...Usually people will naturally honor their birth parents more although both are accorded this honor.   Best Wishes R.Yosef Karpman
