Shalom,    According to kabbalistic teachings the soul of a person that has an imbalance in one incarnation is to be forced to confront that imbalance if it meant  that a person has an unhealthy relationship to sexuality so that person would be in a position where they couldn't  be able to normally express themselves at first.   So the tikkun or rectification for such a scenario is to override their desire for selfish sex(generally the only kind that the secular world recognizes) and develop a practice of selfless intercourse which isn't about the pleasure that the person receives since in a past life they lived solely for pleasure and now they need to reverse that aspect in order to think of how to give pleasure to their spouse and not have it be about themselves exclusively. Most people lie to themselves when they say that they care about their spouses pleasure because there not willing to engage in extended relations if they wouldn't enjoy it themselves.   Best wishes R.Yosef Karpman
