What is the Jewish view on gambling?

Shalom,
Gambling in a casino is prohibited according to the Torah. Also playing with dice for the sake of gambling is prohibited. Any other type of gambling such as sports, card etc. for the sake of wining money is prohibited. To some opinions even playing the lottery is prohibited.
