Hello, It's hard to really know what Mashiach has to go through. We do know he is a human being that will be selected by G-d and will receive Ruach Hakodesh and the power of prophecy and he will have to suffer for the rest of us in the process. There is no question that he is alive right now ready to be revealed. There is a good chance he does not know right now that he is Mashiach and that he is like a 'regular' man that has to go through tests and challenges like all of us.
