Eating garlic without it’s peel

Hello Rabbi,  I heard you can not eat garlic that was without it's peel over night. Is that correct? and if yes, what should one do? Thank you so much for all that you do

Shalom,

That is correct, we cannot eat garlic, onion nor a peeled egg that was exposed overnight without its peel and/or shell, even if it was covered or in a bag or container.

And in order for them to be permissible to eat they have to be mixed with other types of food or pour on them salt or oil. With garlic and onion you can leave part of the peel on or part of the root attached so that you won't have to pour oil or salt on it.
