Can’t fall asleep – is there a special prayer for that?
Dear Rabbi Anava, I have been suffering for a very long time from a sleeping disorder. I can't fall asleep and even when I do, I keep waking up all the time and having a very hard time with this. Is there a special prayer besides the bed time sh'ma I can recite for that? thank you so much for your help

Shalom,
There are a few verses one should recite before going to sleep that we know are very helpful for this problem.
The first one is: תּוֹרָה צִוָּה לָנוּ מֹשֶׁה מוֹרָשָׁה קְהִלַּת יַעֲקֹב
In English: Torah tziva lanu moshe morasha kehillat yaakov
Translation: Moses taught us the Torah, it is an inheritance to the nation of Jacob
Source: Devarim (Deuteronomy) - Chapter 33:4 (Parasha Vezot HaBracha)
The next one is: אֵשׁ תָּמִיד תּוּקַד עַל הַמִּזְבֵּחַ לֹא תִכְבֶה
In English: Esh tamid tukad al hamizbeach lo tichbe
Translation: A continuous fire shall burn upon the altar; it shall not go out
Source: Vayikra (Leviticus) - Chapter 6:6 (Parasha Tzav)
The next one is: סֵעֲפִים שָׂנֵאתִי וְתוֹרָתְךָ אָהָבְתִּי
In English: Se'afim saneti Ve'Toratcha ahavti
Translation: I hate those who harbor iniquitous thoughts, but Your Torah I love
Source: Tehillim (Psalms of David) - Chapter 119:113
The nest one is: אוֹר זָרֻעַ לַצַּדִּיק וּלְיִשְׁרֵי לֵב שִׂמְחָה
In English: Ohr Zarua La'Tzadik uleishrei lev simcha
Translation: A light is sown for the righteous, and for the upright of heart, joy
Source: Tehillim (Psalms of David) - Chapter 97:11
All the above can be found in the book called: Segulot Israel (סגולות ישראל) by Rabbi Shabttai Ish Lifshitz
Best to recite each verse three times in a row
May Hashem bless you with great health
All the best
Alon Anava
