How can I get the most out of my Torah study, and morning study in general?

What would be a smart way to go about it? How can I spiritually prepare myself to receive HaShems light? I am also in the process of conversation, so I am currently a non-Jew. Do all such things you speak of apply to me in the same way currently?

Shalom, First you must complete your conversion to be eligible to receive 100% of G-ds light based on the Torah. Till you finish your conversion (Assuming it is done the right way - Orthodox conversion and not any other way) you are still missing a big part of the vessel in order to receive this G-dly light Not all I speak about apply's to you or anyone that is in the process of converting BUT you defiantly want to start applying it all and building it up for the day you get converted, so you don't have to start from scratch then. I will recommend to learn now as much as oral law (Halacha) as possible, so you know what is allowed and not allowed to do according to the Torah and in-between learn Chumash (The Torah portions of the week) with commentary. If you still have extra time I would suggest to learn a bit from every topic such as Talmud and Mishna, Mussar and also Chasidut and Zohar. It is always recommended to consult your personal Rabbi that is helping you with your conversion and can oversee what you are doing wishing you great success in your new path Rabbi Alon Anava
